◼BLACK BUTTERFLY | BLACKBOARD SENSORY ART PROJECT

In this video I gently squeeze different parts of an interactive art installation that is outfitted with touch activated sound. 👩🏾‍💻

The art installation consists of two main elements.

1) A still life setup

2) A 3D oil painting on canvas

The still life is centered directly in front of the canvas, on a black clothed table. The still life consists of: A Styrofoam female head, painted a rich, dark umber. The hair on the head is made of dried tall grass and only covers the center strip of the head. On the head is a crown of black butterflies. Around the neck is foliage, faux tropical flowers and faux cotton bolls. You can touch all elements of this still life for a full sensory experience.

The canvas is 60"H x 48"W, all black oil painted canvas adorned with 3D glossy black butterflies that move in a V-shaped pattern, from the bottom to the top of the canvas. You can touch any area of this canvas for a full sensory experience.
