Live Painting for Links

On a warm and sunny Friday night, this past weekend, I enjoyed the company at The Des Moines Art Center while completing a performance art piece. What a night, plein air painting soft tones of ochre, payne's grey and magenta across a 3' x 7' canvas. The Des Moines Chapter of The Links was celebrating 60 years of friendship and service by hosting, The Art Affair. A special evening featuring local African American artists, a guided tour of the Des Moines Art Center's permanent art collection highlighting artists of color, jazz, and a live painting by yours truly. It was an honor to be part of such a moment in The Links history!
