#1: HAVE FUN!...then...Drizzle! Drip! Draw! your design onto your watercolor paper with your rubber cement.
After creating your design on the paper, let dry, then paint over it with watercolors. We used crayola washable watercolors this time, but any would work. After the paint dries, you can rub the rubber cement off with your thumb. It comes off easily and leaves the pure white paper underneath.
My ASAP painting students shared how the free-flowing abstract art was "FUN!" This project can be done Easily in the classroom, at home with the kiddos or with the grandparents.
ASAP affirms young people as persons of value, nurtures their skill and talent in the arts, helps them realize their artistic gifts, and broadens their awareness of varieties of artistic expression.
