This 3D multimedia lightbox by Jill Wells is from the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 series. Historically, the lightbox was designed to help teach basic visual skills as well as more complex visual-motor and visual-perceptual skills. The high contrast background created by the lightbox's illuminated surface makes a variety of visual tasks easier to perform.
MULTIMEDIA: Oil on Braille paper + pinewood + remote LED lighting
12 x 12 X 0.8 inches
The paper inside each lightbox is 11" x 11" Braille pages of the ADA of 1990 Unified Braille version. Each page is hand-cut layers of Braille paper painted with oils, in an ombre blend of varying colors. The paper has horizontal cuts from top to bottom where the LED lights beam through. Using a low-power safety LED strand light source, the light is softer and prettier than a general night light. Eight adjustable settings with timing function and 360°controllable remote control can meet the permanent or temporary lighting demand better.
