The Ombre Series investigates the atmospheric relationships between color, light, and space through subtle transitions that dissolve edges and suspend depth. Built through countless translucent layers of oil paint, each composition creates the sensation of light emerging from within the surface rather than falling upon it. Rather than describing a landscape, these paintings construct an atmosphere—one that encourages reflection, contemplation, and sensory awareness while exploring how color shapes our experience of space, memory, and belonging.
